Performed "Toxic" at the 2010 Lone Star Uke Fest open mic this past weekend. Right before I went on, the super cool ukulele master Kimo Hussey gave an elegant intro about how the other participants at the open mic had been playing wonderful music from the 1920's and 1930's. I then took the stage and whipped out a Britney Spears tune. I nearly said, "It's Britney, bitches!" when I got on stage, but figured the choice of song was edgy enough for the uke fest crowd so I opted not to. I had a kick ass time at this festival.
